GREEK GOAT from Napflio

Every time I visit Greece I need to pop into a local butcher to buy some goat meat for my three Gentlemen. This is now a tradition!  This time in Napflio I bought a nice haunch of goat. As always I am preparing something special for my family with a touch of local flavour.


  • 2 kg of goat haunch
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of curry powder
  • 1 tsp of sweet red paprika powder
  • 1 tsp of oregano powder
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 5-6 small zucchinis
  • 5 green paprikas
  • 8 tbsp of olive oil

Wash the meat and soak it in cold salty water over night in the fridge. Remove the meat from the water (do not dry). Flavour meat with spices, smashed garlic and olive oil.  Place the meat into the fridge for at least 24 hrs.

Add chopped veggies and stew 3 hrs on hob ( or cook in an oven) till it is tender.
