HORTA, wild GREEK GREENS

I love the Greek cuisine. It is always simple, healthy and fresh! One of my favourite dishes is „HORTA” („VLITA”), a typical wild greens which are a bit similar to spinach or boiled lettuce, but much, much better! The taste is fresh, original and really yummy! If you go to Greece I strongly recommend you to try it!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of horta
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • a half of a lime
  • 2-3 tbsps of olive oil

Wash horta and boil it in salty water for 10 minutes.

Serve it with lime juice and olive oil.
